In Short, PUB
(Portable USB Box) provides true high speed wireless
connectivity at over 100Mbps, with a
range up to 25-30ft in version 2 and higher, which
is cheaper and faster than major camera manufactures. With it, you can
preview shots within seconds on a large display, as each photo is being
captured.
Supports: Windows XP, Vista, and 7. There is no Mac OSX
driver/support. It
is possible to run Windows over VMware to have it operate on a Mac
OSX.
Update: There
are still questions regarding integration into a sleeker design, such
as in a battery grip. Again, the answer is, by doing so it will impact
antenna performance, which in turns degrades range and speed. Thus, PUB
2+ does not use this design approach. (Updated Nov 27, 2011)

Please note, wireless dongle vendors for this project, Cables
Unlimited has ceased operation, and Ultra Wireless X-Connect dongle
appear to be no longer in production for the time being. If
anyone pursues this DIY project, and wishes to use wireless dongles
from either company, you may need to do some searching for the
remaining stock that retailers have left. (Updated May 15, 2012)

The ready to run PUB2.5 kit has sold the last unit and no longer
